Martinelli flip flop on free corridor tolls

Another government flip flop came on Saturday, November 24, when President Ricardo Martinellie announced that it is “considered necessary” to allow free access to the North and South Corridors on some days in December.

This change of mind came only one day after he had said that there would be no free rides in December as the state would have to foot the bill for the missing revenue, needed to pay for the purchase of the corridors.

On Saturday, at a Saving Bank opening in Coronado  he said it is important that the State adopts a measure because the city is plagued with traffic jams but  warned that the state will have to make up the lost revenue.

He  spoke of the possibility of free rides put on December 7 , the eve of Mothers Day and  December 23.
