Martinelli links to scandal not a work of fiction – Eisenmann
Allegations tying President Ricardo Martinelli to the Financial Pacific scandal are "not a work of fiction," as the president has claimed said businessman Roberto Eisenmann " on Sunday January 6.
“This case is not a novel, it is a serious problem with international connotations that the president must address," Eisenmann said in La Prensa.
He said that it is "incredible" that the president gave the attorney general specific instructions on how to handle the case in letters that are included in the case file. He also found it hard to believe that the attorney general, who at the time was José Ayú Prado, would defend the president and claim there were no ties between him and Financial Pacific despite the information that was in that letter.
"[Ayu Prado] violated the law, and now he has been appointed to the Supreme Court to judge the law," Eisenmann said.
