Martinelli denies links to Financial Pacific

President Ricardo Martinelli said Tuesday, July 9, that the allegations made by former Financial Pacific employee Mayte Pellegrini are "completely political."

Martinelli said that Pellegrini's attorney, Zulay Rodríguez, is a candidate for deputy in the PRD.

The president reiterated that he is not related to this case and that no one financed his campaign from the brokerage firm.
He also said that investigators have located the money allegedly stolen from the firm by Pellegrini.
