Red Cross examine detained N.Korean seamen
THE 38 CREW members of the North Korean ship Chong Chon Gang, detained in Panama, were attended to on Monday, July 22 by members of the International Red Cross Monday at Fort Sherman.
This is the second time that the health of the crew has been reviewed by the Red Cross says La Prensa
They have also been examined by local health officials for signs of diseases such as dengue and yellow fever.
The ship was detained because it was carrying weapons from Cuba that were not listed on the manifest. The ship was also carrying a cargo of brown sugar.
Weapons found on board the vessel include two near antique Mig-21 aircraft.
New inspections of the weapons, which are being held at the Manzanillo International Terminal, are continuing
