CSS waiting on prosecutors report on baby deaths

PANAMA’Social Security Fund (CSS ) is waiting for a government prosecutor to complete investigations into the deaths of nine infants in natal clinic because of heparin combined with benzyl alcohol.

This will help determine responsibilities and determine actions to be taken.

This was announced by the director of the health institution , Guillermo Sáez– Llorens , on Wednesday September 4 in the program Sin Rodeos, (To the point) led by journalist Flor Mizrachi .
The CSS manager took the opportunity to clarify that the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA ) had no bans on the use of heparin, but issued a warning on how the product should be used , "but the product itself is not restricted ," he said .
