Consular posting for son of deposed Ombudesperson
ROMÁN MOLLAH PORTUGAL,son of scandal plagued former Ombudsperson, Patria Portugal. has been nominated to be Panama’s consul in Trinidad and Tobago.
The announcement comes from Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fernando Nunez Fabrega.
Fabrega also announced that former CD primary presidential candidate Francis Denis Duran, known as "the Tapao rooster Tapao" is likely heading to Hamburg as consul. Duran is currently a candidate for deputy in the circuit 8-8 (Juan Diaz, Parque Lefevre, Rio Abajo, San Francisco) for the ruling collective primary taking place on Sunday September 8
"Both comply with profiles and have a flawless image for appointment to these positions. We have not yet formalized, the appointments but we are analyzing them this week, " Nunez Fabrega told La Prensa.

La Prensa reports that Mollah Portugal, a member of the ruling CD, at the beginning of this government worked at the National Police, along with Jazmine Ramirez and Leila Hassan, the last head of purchasing for Patria Portugal, when the website scandal broke over the contract for $250,000 with Imaginarium Studio and another for $200,000 to the company En Avant, SA.
Ramirez, is the mother of Jean Paul Ortega Ramirez, president of Imaginarium Studio, a company that has the same directors of En Avant, S. A.
Patria Portugal and others are under criminal investigation
The Consulate of Panama in Trinidad and Tobago is currently held by Arline Gonzalez, who also holds the post of ambassador.
Hamburg is managed by Diego Arango Pezet, according to information from the web site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Asked by La Prensa about the issue, Mollah Portugal, 32, who was trained in law, said he did not know of the appointment, but said that once he does he will make his comments.
