Panamas mayor – zero concern for unfavorable polls
PANAMA’S City Mayor, Roxana Mendez, believes that the ruling CD party has an advantage over its political adversaries because it doesn’t have to promise anything to voters.
Mendez said that the people can judge the party on its accomplishments during its time in office.
She said that, at this time, the important thing for the party is offer answers to citizens. Then, the voters can judge the party on the "quality of the answers we give."
Concerning surveys indicating That PRD candidate Jose Luis Fabrega is leading the race for mayor, Mendez said she felt zero concern.
She said she is focused on seeking allies and the approval of the citizens.
Her comments came at a cocktail party to raise funds for her campaign. Mendez is a founder member of the CD and the function was attended by presidential candidate Jose Domingo Arias and First Lady, Martha Linares de Martinelli.
