Police stationed at school after weapons found

POLICE have been stationed at the National Institute because weapons were found there said Minister of Education Lucy Molinar on Tuesday, September 24.

Officials are also concerned about gang markings that have been found at the school says La Prensa.

Molinar said that she will meet with parents to discuss the situation.
"We have found weapons in the school," Molinar said, saying it is a very serious situation that can't be taken lightly.
Education officials have pledged to do everything they can to keep student protests from disrupting classes. On Monday, a group of students who started a protest at the campus were suspended.
Riot pólice were called to the school to restore order. Later, Molinar announced the permanent police presence there.
