CD attack ads draw more criticism

PANAMEÑISTA party members criticized CD leaders today for running attack ads against Juan Carlos Varela, the Panameñista presidential candidate.

National Assembly Deputy Marcos González said that he would not fall "for the infantile games of Varela."

He made this comment after Panameñista Deputy Adolfo Valderrama criticized CD presidential candidate José Domingo Arias for approving the ads.
"Jose Domingo [Arias] will not fall into the trap of old politics," said Gonzalez, who toured the streets of Cerro Batea today accompanied by Arias and Gerald Cumberbatch, the CD candidate for mayor of the District of San Miguelito.
