Hunt for priest killer ends as suspect surrenders

THE HUNT for the prime suspect in the murder of a Catholic priest ended Tuesday, November 26, when he  turned himself in to police in Colon.

Jonathan Wilson Bailey surrendered voluntarily  to authorities on murder charges involving the death of Father Anibal Gomez de Blanco. According  to investigators, Wilson Bailey, who lives on Calle 14 in Colón, was the one who killed the priest during a robbery.

Attorney General Ana Belfon told  local media that the suspect will be interviewed and that he has shown an interest in cooperating.
The priest was murdered at the residence of Bishop Emeritus of Colón and Guna Yala Carlos María Ariz.
Wilson Bailey is the boyfriend of María Castillo, a domestic worker at the home who has also been charged.
