Winds bring down trees and election signs
STRONG WINDS ripped through the province of Chiriqui on Thursday, March 17, bringing down trees and damaging power lines and homes.
Election signs became major casualties as they were torn from poles and trees and sent hurtling through streets and across local highways. No injuries were reported
The population is scared because the winds have raised many zinc sheets and lying signs has different candidates for elected office who have been placed on poles or trees.
Abelardo Serrano, regional director SINAPROC said that in the area of Elisa Chiari a tree fell on powerlines and there were fallen trees in Alanje Las Lomas .
