CDs last Cabinet meeting
PRESIDENT Ricardo Martinelli’s last Cabinet Council meeting was held Tuesday, June 24 in the Palacio de las Garzas a week before the end of his term.
The previous week, two ministers were absent from the meeting, Education Minister Lucy Molinar and Social Development Minister Guillermo Ferrufino.
The Cabinet meetings take place every Tuesday and the next one falls on July 1, the day that incoming President Juan Carlos Varela takes office.
The first Cabinet meeting held by Martinelli was on July 2, 2009, a day after being sworn into office. It took place in the community of Las Garzas de Pacora, east of the capital.
There he took the first steps to achieve six of the promises he made in the campaign.: He was flanked by Varela, his vice president, and then Minister of the Presidency Demetrio (Jimmy) Papadimitriu.
