Swimmer killed by boat in Bocas del Toro

A 24 YEAR-0LD Argentinian swimmer died on Saturday afternoon, August 16, at Slipper Island, Bocas del Toro, after a boat passed over him.

According to preliminary investigations by the authorities, the young man was practicing diving at about 2:00 pm, when a launch of the National Environmental Authority (ANAM) hit him.
He was injured in the head and hands and rushed to hospital on the island of Bocas del Toro, where he died reports La Prensa
Slipper Island is located about 30 minutes by boat from Isla Colon, a place frequented by tourists in the province of Bocas del Toro.
