Four dead, two injured in drug ferrying crash
PANAMA’S DRUG trafficking industry claimed another four lives on Saturday, August 30, when a pickup truck carrying 85kilos of cocaine hit a bridge in San Lorenzo, Chiriqui, in the early hours of the morning.
Three of the dead including one woman, and a fifth injured person who were passengers in the Nissan Qasqai were from Chiriqui. A fifth passenger who was also injured came fom Bocas del Toro.
A judicial source said the crash occurred in the early hours when the vehicle hit collided with the Fonseca River Bridge. The cocaine was discovered when police arrived at the scene of the accident.
