High tide warning for Pacific Coast

A HIGH TIDE warning, linked to the possibility of floods in coastal areas, on the Pacific coast was issued by Panama’s Civil defense agency (Sinaproc) on Monday October 6.

The warning extends over the next week when the tide will reach 18.4 feet.

Sinaproc Director José Donderis said that this will make swimming very dangerous, and it will also potentially cause flooding in low-lying coastal areas.
