Judge under investigation dodging meetings
SUPREME COURT judge Alejandro Moncada Luna, under investigation for alleged unjustified enrichment, did not attend the regular meeting of the plenary of the Supreme Court on Thursday October 9.
He took a vacation day, and was represented by his alternate.
Two of his colleagues, Harry Díaz and Hernán de Léon have called on Moncada Luna to explain how he purchased two apartments worth $1.7 million since taking office in January 2010.
Díaz said that some of the other justices met with Moncada Luna Monday. Díaz was not present since he was out of the country.
Moncada Luna was also absent for last week’s meeting in which the situation was also discussed reports La Prensa.
