Protesters air complaints at Colon Indepence parade
THE INDEPENDENCE parades in Colon ran two hours late on Wednesday, November 5 as a mix of protesters with multiple causes took the opportunity to air their complaints
During the parade attended by groups like the Frente Amplio Colon(FAC), The Construction and Allied Workers and Similar (Suntracs) and students of the Regional University Panama ,
The FAC sought compensation for the families of the victims of the 2012 protests against the sale of land in the Colon Free Zone in 2012) and the inclusion of more foods in the basic food basket introduced by the new government and aimed at controlling prices.
A group of workers from the Panama Canal Authority called for a substantial pay increase and requested subsidies for college students.
