$1.3 millions seized from accounts linked to suspended judge

THREE BANK accounts  holding  $1.3 million and linked to the investigation of Panama Supreme Court Judge Alejandro Moncada Luna have been provisionally seized on the instructions of Deputy Pedro Miguel González, the National Assembly prosecutor in the case

The three accounts are in the Universal Bank .One is  a $1 million termdeposit for Luxol Corporación, SA and two other business accounts Cubemu Corporation SA and Sarelan Corporation, SA, totaling around $ 300,000.

One of the major shareholders of  Universal Bank is  ex-vicepresident Felipe Pipo Virzi, who, sayscMoncada Luna, made a loan of $ 700,000, without interest, for the purchase of one of his  apartments.

Moncada Luna is under house arrest and has been suspended from his seat in the Supreme Court as he faces multiple illegal enrichment charges.
