Second PAN director gets hospital appointment
THE former director of the National Assistance Program (PAN) Rafael Jaen Guard, was taken to Santo Tomas hospital on Tuesday morning, December for a medical appointment requested last week by his defense lawyer.
Guardia Jaén, who isbeing prosecuted for the commission of crimes of embezzlement and corruption by irregularities with PAN contracts PAN, was admitted to the hospital at 10:00 am where he remained until 11:00 am under heavy security.
Jaén Guard’s lawyer, Javier Quintero, said the appointment was scheduled to address problems affecting his spine, resulting from an operation performed in February
The other PAN director during the Martinelli years, Giacomo Tamburrelli, is in hospital after emergency treatment for a heart problem.
