Bella Vista kidnap victim rescued

THE ANTI-KIDNAP unit of Panama’s Directorate of Judicial Investigation (DIJ) and the Prosecutor Against Organized Crime released a kidnap victim in Panama West on Saturday afternoon, January 10. 

Businessman Jorge Luis Jurado, one of the directors of the company Petroautos, was kidnapped two days before in Bella Vista. He was rescued from a residence in Gorgona.
An official source told La Prensa that the victim had bruises and a broken rib was recovered in the province of Panama Oeste, with some punches, but that he is out of danger.
The source said that five people under investigation and that the unit is is on the trail of other members of a criminal network in Panama City.
It is presumed that a group of foreigners intercepted Jurado last Thursday in Bella Vista where his vehicle was found.
