Bank accounts of Supreme Court Judge frozen
ACCOUNTS at the National Bank of Panama belonging to Supreme Court Justice Victor Benavides have been frozen at the request of Deputy Jorge Alberto Rosas, who is prosecuting the case against the judge in the National Assembly-
The measure was requested after Vicente Caballero, a former bodyguard of the judge, alleged that there were large sums of money in the accounts which he said were the proceeds from the judge selling verdicts.
Rosas interviewed Caballero in the Santiago public jail, where he is serving a 15 year sentence for kidnapping the judge’s mother.
