More detentions in Virzi kickback scandal

TWO MORE suspects with alleged links to the kickback scandal involving the company Hidalgo & Hidalgo (H & H), and the failed irrigation project in Tonosí, Los Santos, have been arrested and placed in preventive detention.

The Third Anti-corruption Prosecutor on Wedneday night, August 11, ordered the preventive detention of lawyer and journalist Julio Miller. Earlier in the day a detention order was issued for Julio Terrientes, who is linked to the former candidate for deputy of Democratic Change Porfirio Furball Ellis who has been
detained since July.
Also detained in the same investigation are former ministers for Agricultural Development Emilio Kieswetter and Oscar Osorioand the directors of H & H Juan Francisco Hurtado and Marco Alban.
