2015 holiday road deaths treble
THE NUMBER of people killed in various road accidents during this year’s Independence holidays more than trebled compared to 2014.
Javier Fanuco, director of police traffic operations, said there were only four fatalities in 2014.This year 14 people died.
The holiday period began Friday October 30 and ended Thursday, Novembeer 5.
The most serious accident was recorded in La Soledad, Veraguas, where six people were killed. There were several incidents involving buses resulting in some 30 injuries.
