Motor bikes below 500cc to be banned from Corridors

MOTOR CYCLES  with a cylinder  capacity of less than 500 cc are to be banned onPanama’s  North and South corridors.

“The implementation date to which we aspire is December,16  and before the start of the busy holiday shopping season,” Carlos Barnes, general manager of the National Highway Company ( ENA). told La Prensa

Motorcycles  which meet the new spedifications must purchase special tags to place outside their bikes so they can pass through the Panapass gates . No cost, has been set  although but, says Barnes the price will be “reduced”.

He added that “the tags will be mounted   in the same Panapass centers: Albrook, and facing Atlapa.”
