Ruben Blades picks up 8th grammy
PANAMANIAN singer-songwriter and wannbe Panama president Rubén Blades received his eighth Latin Grammy in Las Vegas on Thursday November 13.
His record, with Roberto Delgado & Orchestra, won in the category best salsa album.
He defeated Luis Enrique, Víctor Manuelle, and Ismael Miranda and
It’s his eighth award, and second in a row. He won last year for best tango album.
Blades who had a previous failed run at the presidency has announced that he will make another bid for the office in 2019. He was tourism manager during the presidency of Martin Torrijos 2004-2009.
