COURT ORDERS MARTINELLI ARREST

AFTER FIVE HOURS of deliberation, on Monday December 21 the Plenum of Panama’s Supreme Court ordered the provisional detention of former president and member of the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN), Ricardo Martinelli.

The Full Court did not decide the form or procedure to get   Martinelli and this decision rests with the  Judge of Guarantees, Jeronimo Mejia, who is responsible for executing the warrant against the ex-president reports TVN-2

The announcement came shortly before 11 pm.

Earlier in the day the area near  the Supreme Court looked like an election campaign rally with Democratic Change (CD) party members waving banners and chanting slogans.

Story developing.
