PAN scandal suspect gets $350,000 bail
BUSINESSMAN and corruption suspect Carlos Arauz, has been granted bail totaling $350,000 in two cases related to the former National Assistance Program (PAN).
He remains under country arrest.
This was confirmed to La Prensa by a judicial source, who added that the bonds were set by the 15th Court of the First Judicial Circuit.
The first bond was granted for $250,000 related to the investigation into alleged cost overruns in the purchase of bags of food through PAN.
The second bond was for $100,000 and is related to the investigation into the purchase of backpacks.
He is being investigated by the fourth anti-corruption prosecutor.
