Fire closes National Assembly

FIREMEN responded to an emergency call  from the National Assembly on Wednesday January 6  after the explosion of a lamp in the interview room started a fire which sent smoke into  the building.

Security staff doused  the fire  but the assembly president suspended  the legislature  operations for the day on the recommendation of the fire service, because of the amount of smoke generated
