Public asked to keep Xmas trees clear of regular trash.
PANAMA’S GARBAGE collection authority (AAUD) has asked purchasers of the 100,000 Christmas trees that decorated homes and businesses during the holiday season, not to put them with their regular garbage to avoid damage to compactor trucks,
Instead the authority wants people to take them to Calle 50 or Calidonia on Saturday January 9
“We need the public to cooperate by not disposing of the trees in tanks for trash. Once the trees are deposited in the compactor trash trucks, there is a risk f damaging the system,” said an AAUD spokesperson.
