Kidnapped businessman released, 5 arrests

BUSINESSMAN Cesar Martans was released on Friday morning January 8, three days after he was kidnapped in Condado del Rey.

Minister of Public Security Rodolfo Aguilera confirmed the release and said that Martans was  in good condition but was taken to a hospital for routine medical checks.

The suspects included four  men and a woman. Aguilera said that “pressure” on the suspects led to  the release of the victim.

Five people  were arrested, three Colombians and two Panamanians, and two cars, including a taxi were seized, reports La Prensa.

The investigation is continuing.
