MEDIA WATCH: Alternative facts adviser faces new storm

Kellyanne Conway, an adviser to US President Donald Trump, is again in the center of a critical media and social networks storm.

This time  she is criticized  for kneeling on a couch in the White House Oval Office  during an official reception for  African-American leaders of colleges and universities.

In a photo  taken by an AFP photographer, Conway appears on her knees on a sofa in  the presidential office with a cell phone in her hand while Trump poses for a photo with the visitors.

A Wall Street Journal columnist lashed out at Conway’s attitude and suggested that similar behavior of advisors from previous administrations would have led to Even greater protests. “If Rice or Jarrett had sat in the same way in the Oval Office  the conservatives would have been hoarse for weeks over  so much criticism, ” wrote Bret Stephens, in reference to Susan Rice and Valerie Jarrett, close advisers of ex-president Barack Obama.
