Irish motorist targeted by gunmen on eve of St Patrick

TWO  ARMED MEN  on a motorcycle  sent a hail of bullets into a Ford van driven by an Irishman in the Punta Pacifica area, in broad daylight  on Thursday March  16, the day before  St Patrick’s Day.

The car  was at the traffic lights between MultiPlaza Mall and the Punta Pacific Hospital,

At least a dozen  bullets hit the vehicle five of them  going through  the windshield, and seven into the hood.

The driver   received medical attention in the  nearbyPunta Pacifica Hospital.

National Police (PN), Omar Pinzón   said investigations have been initiated and more elements are being studied together with the Public Ministry.

The road remained closed, which causing mid morning traffic congestion in the area. Construction workers near the shooting, were unscathed.
