Panama Dry Law Ends Friday

The Panama  Dry Law introduced at the beginning of quarantine measures will end on Friday, May 8 with some restrictions said   Luis Sucre,  the country’s Deputy Minister of  Health on Wednesday, May 6.

.”It will take effect on Friday, May 8, and will limit the number of purchases of alcoholic beverages and they can only be consumed at home,” said Sucre.

He added that the lifting of the “dry law” will occur with restrictions, such as the prohibition of social gatherings.

Panama to date is the only country on the American continent to impose the temporary prohibition law to “reduce crime and avoid crowds of people to stop the spread of the virus.”
