New reopening measures coming Tuesday
The Government will make “important announcements” Tuesday about the new openings of economic activities as part of the measures of the new normal in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic says the Vice Minister of Commerce, Omar Montilla.
Montilla said that authorities are evaluating to allow mobility without restriction by gender and that people can enter shops, as is currently done in supermarkets.
“Tomorrow important announcements will be made by the Ministry of Health. However, we have requested at the economic table that shopping centers and warehouses can be entered, depending on the capacity that each one has so that in this way they can not only collect the merchandise at the door. Likewise, we are going to make the issue of men and women more flexible, ”Montilla said in an interview on TVN Noticias.
He said that certain opening dates will be announced so that the companies that are going to be reactivated to prepare.
In addition, the reopening of construction and restaurants is being evaluated.
“Those dates are conditioned on us maintaining discipline and that the Rt increase does not skyrocket because in the end what we have to understand is a health aspect that the Government must protect.”
Last Monday, August 17, beauty salons and barbershops began to operate, by appointment, with screens between each cubicle and without exceeding 50% of the capacity of the premises.
