No Panama Carnival celebrations in 2021
There will be no Carnival celebrations in Panama in February 2021 due to Covid-19 . says The Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre,
“There is not going to be a carnival … let’s not think about carnival for now,” Sucre said, in a preview of Telemetro Reporta’s Sunday Open Debate program that will be aired on September 27.
He stressed that, for now, the focus is on the health of all citizens and on restoring the country’s economy.
Sucre warned: “If we fail and let ourselves go we will have to return to the measures that were in force to stop the increase in cases of the coronavirus.
“If that happens we can make the decision to re-close part of the economy and no one in the country wants to return there,” he said
