Virus restrictions ease, infections rise
Covid-19 cases in Panama continue on a high trajectory with 792 new infections and 15 deaths reported on Thursday, October 22 as the economy slowly moves to a new normal, beaches reopen and the Sunday lockdown ends,
The accumulated total of cases reached 127,227 and deaths rise to 2,612, with a fatality of 2.05%.
To date, 7,748 tests have been applied, for a percentage of positivity of 10.2%.
There are 21,217 active cases and 670 hospitalized vases including 120 in intensive care,
