One dead 17 injured in multi-vehicle pile ups

One person was killed and five injured in a  three-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer, a pickup and a sedan on Saturday morning, October 26  in El Pelón’ on the Transistmica highway in Las Cumbres.

The latest death brings the highway toll so far this year to  232.

On Sunday at least 11 were injured in a multi-vehicle pileup triggered by a pirate bus near the Bridge of the America. Ten of the injured were passengers in the bus heading for Panama Oeste.
