50 and 36-year sentences for Colón massacre perpetrators
An Oral Trial Court sentenced Reynaldo Cuadra McBean to 50 years in prison and Jean Carlos Hernández to 36 years, for the crimes of homicide, femicide, robbery and deprivation of liberty to the detriment of seven young people from the province of Colón.
On December 15, the Court found the two defendants guilty of the massacre of the youths in a bunker in Espinar, province of Colón, on July 17, 2020.
Hernández, alias Niñito, is 23 years old, and Reynaldo Cuadra McBean, alias Reycito or Monstruo, is 26.
The victims were the sisters Azucena and Yulissa Martínez Daley; sisters Leydis Mabel and Yeleny Yesibel Marriota Villarreta, 15 and 16 years old, respectively; Bladimir Garay, 18 years old; Edgar Jiménez, 22 years old and Santiago Carvajal, 17 years old and of Colombian nationality, who that day went to enjoy a walk around the Espinar lake.
