Panamanian  sprinter wins second gold medal

 

Panamanian sprinter Alonso Edward won gold in his specialty of the 200 meters, at the XIX Bolivarian Games on Sunday, July 3.

It was the second gold in the sporting event in Colombia and the third for Panama.

The Panamanian recorded a time of 20.41seconds.

Second place to Dominican Erick Sánchez, with a time of 20.64, and the bronze medal went to Melbin Marcelino, also from the Dominican Republic, with 20.85.

Panama’s three gold medals at these Games have been won by Atheyna Bylon (boxing) and two by Edward in athletics who won the final of the 100-meters with a time of 10.17 seconds.
