Former Panama Mayor Bosco facing embezzlement trial
The First Liquidator Court of Criminal Cases of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama, opened a criminal case against three citizens, among them the former mayor of the capital, Bosco Vallarino, for the alleged embezzlement, of the Municipality of Panama.
The judge also applied to the defendants the precautionary measure prohibiting them from leaving the territory of the Republic without judicial authorization.
The hearing date was set for February 27, 2023, at 8:30 am, and March 10 of the same year and time indicated as an alternate date, in case the private defenders do not appear.
“The case is related to a property injury during 2010, as a result of two consulting contracts signed by the Municipality of Panama, one of them for the management of sanitary waste in the district of Panama, and another for a reorganization plan of the security system, in which both exceed $300,000.00,” detailed the Judicial Branch.
