Man burned to death Calidonia fire
Alfonso Simmons, 52, burned to death after a fire broke out in his apartment on P street in the San Miguel sector, Calidonia at 4 am, Monday, March 6.
Captain Ángel Delgado, director of Related Calamities of the BCBRP, said that at around 4 in the morning, they received the alert and immediately personnel from the Calidonia and Plaza Amador barracks proceeded to evacuate the residents of nearby apartments and proceeded to extinction.
After controlling the fire the “red shirts” entered the damaged apartment and found a body without vital signs. The Public Ministry has launched an investigation.
Delgado said that he has no report of people injured or affected by the smoke.
