Forensic Foundation in Panama to identify invasion victims
Representatives of the Guatemalan Forensic Anthropological Foundation, who managed to identify one of the victims of the 1989 US invasion through genetic tests, are in Panama.
They went to the Garden of Peace Cemetary, to the area of that disappeared from the invasion.
Leg surgery allowed the identification of one of the victims of the US invasion; the victim was Ismael Enrique Dorcy. The foundation donated two genetic tests and only Dorcy was identified at that time.
The group will look at everything they have, the remains and the investigations done, to assess how much that work could cost and how long it would take.
In the meeting, there is also representation from the Public Ministry, the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, and the Catholic Church.
