Panama lagging in sex education policy

Panama should adopt a policy about sex education, reproductive health and prevention said experts at a Umiversity forum on Tuesday, August 14.
The forum "Sexual and reproductive health of adolescents and youth: a look at human rights" was organized by the University of Panama (UP).
Dorindo Cortez, director of the Institute of National Studies of the UP, said that 34.8% (the country's young population) live exposed to social problems such as violence, early pregnancy, and others, that must be countered.
The director of the Panamanian Association for Family Planning, Jane Cooke, said an estimated 50% of the female population of the country has the human papilloma virus.
Rodrigo Arroniz, of Mexico, said that two countries in the region, do not have a sustained agenda on sexual health … Panama and Honduras
