‘She Sent me a Note Demanding her Brother’s Reinstatement’. Mayor Mizrachi Attributes Mayín Correa’s Criticism to a Settling of Scores.

The mayor of Panama City, Mayer Mizrachi, stated that the criticism he receives from the governor of the province of Panama, Mayín Correa, is due to his failure to reinstate her brother, who was dismissed during the previous administration.

Mayín Correa “My brothers…I’d give my blood for them. Rodrigo and Gonzalo.”

“The reality is that I fired her brother for being a drunk and I didn’t accept his reinstatement because he’s a scoundrel,” Mizrachi stated on his account on the social network X, where he also shared a note that Correa sent him in November 2025, requesting that he “look into the case” of her brother Gonzalo Correa.

“On November 6, 2025, she sent me a note, while I was Governor and her superior, requesting the reinstatement of her brother, whom she had hired when she was mayor (along with her sister). The reason was very simple: the 84-year-old man had not been coming to work since the pandemic, he was ignoring his superior, and he was collecting his $1,500 plus subsidies and pensions,” Mizrachi stated.
