A Thousand Police Officers Reinforce Security During Black Weekend.

Around a thousand police units were deployed in shopping centers across the country to reinforce security during Panama Black Weekend, an event that began this Friday and will run until Sunday, October 4, the National Police reported.  The operation includes foot patrols, vehicle rounds, and permanent monitoring at strategic points in shopping centers, with the aim of preventing crime and ensuring the safety of shoppers, merchants, and visitors.

Corporal Joseph Ortega, from the Citizen Security Sub-Directorate, recommended that the public take care of their belongings, avoid carrying large amounts of cash, and report any suspicious activity to police units.  The National Police maintain a presence in shopping centers in the capital and in the interior of the country during this commercial day.
