An Adult and a Minor Allegedly Linked to a Gunfight on the Trans-Isthmian Highway Incident were Apprehended.

This Monday morning, an armed attack was recorded at a fuel station located in Pueblo Nuevo. A vehicle received more than 40 shots as pictured below, but the driver was not on board.  There are two individuals apprehended for this incident. An adult and a minor were apprehended in the township of Santa Ana for their alleged involvement in a shootout that occurred in Pueblo Nuevo, in the area of ​​the Transístmica highway.  According to preliminary information, the two people were located and apprehended by the authorities after the incident in Pueblo Nuevo. 

Among those apprehended is a minor, so the authorities must apply the corresponding procedure established for adolescents.  The shooting occurred in the Pueblo Nuevo sector, prompting a mobilization of authorities to locate the alleged perpetrators.  Following the investigations, an adult and a minor were located in Santa Ana, where the arrests were made.  Authorities are continuing their investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and to establish the alleged involvement of those arrested.  The case was handed over to the competent authorities, who will have to define the corresponding measures according to the evidence collected during the investigation.  Below is an update.

Following the shootout on the Transístmica highway, authorities apprehended two suspects and seized three firearms.  This morning, a shooting occurred on the Trans-Isthmian Highway. Occupants of a moving vehicle fired more than 40 shots at a gray car that was at a gas station in Pueblo Nuevo.  The attack left no one injured. Following the incident, authorities apprehended two suspects and seized three firearms on Martyrs’ Avenue.  According to authorities, the person driving the car has a criminal record for gang activity.  This incident is being investigated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the National Police.
