The new Regional Tax Lottery draw awarded prizes to 25 taxpayers from the provinces of Colón, Darién and Panama Oeste.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) held the regional drawing for the Fiscal Lottery this Thursday, August 20. The event took place at the Albrook Mall in Panama City and was broadcast live on the institution’s social media channels and on RPC TV. On this occasion, the program awarded 25 taxpayers from the province of Panama, who shared incentives of $10,000.00, $5,000.00 and $1,000.00.

How to Enter Panama’s Regional Fiscal Lottery Draw.
You enter Panama’s Regional Fiscal Lottery Draw by collecting five valid fiscal store invoices and submit them in a letter-sized envelope to an official drop-off box. The idea behind this government lottery program is to receive taxes from stores that may offer you a 7% decrease in cost if you pay cash and do not request an invoice. The invoice is of course, is your entry ticket to the lottery. Expats and locals are encouraged to participate.
Requirements for Entry.
- Invoices: Gather at least five original, legible fiscal invoices, electronic invoices, or conventional invoices with QR codes.
- Envelope: Use a plain white or manila, letter-sized (or smaller) paper envelope. Do not use colored or decorated envelopes.
- Contact Information: Write five details clearly on the outside of the envelope:
- Full name
- ID number (Cédula) or residency number
- Phone number
- Email address
- Physical address
Submission and Deadlines.
- Drop-off Locations: Place your filled envelope into the authorized ballot boxes located at participating shopping centers or regional DGI (Dirección General de Ingresos) offices before the deadline for your specific region.
- Prizes per Draw: Each regional draw features 25 total prizes: ten prizes of $1,000, ten prizes of $5,000, and five grand prizes of $10,000.
