According to the weather bulletin, these conditions are also related to the strengthening of the Intertropical Convergence Zone and a large low-pressure system, factors that will favor the development of intense rainfall.

The IMHPA indicated that Saturday and Sunday will be the days with the highest probability of torrential rains, accompanied by electrical activity and possible gusts of wind. Meanwhile, the IMHPA maintains a heat warning until this Friday. Temperatures could range between 31 and 36 degrees Celsius, while the heat index could reach between 36 and 42 degrees Celsius , depending on weather conditions and the area of the country. The organization explains that the thermal sensation corresponds to the perception of cold or heat that a person experiences as a result of the combination of different meteorological parameters.

The weather warning states that around midday conditions may reach the so-called “danger category”, due to the risk of effects related to prolonged exposure to heat. Possible effects include sunstroke, cramps, and heat stroke, especially among people exposed for prolonged periods or those who perform intense physical activity.
