The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) announced the extension of the prevention notice for rains and storms until July 15, due to the persistence of unstable atmospheric conditions that could cause damage in several provinces and regions of Panama. According to the entity, the measure is in response to the arrival of Tropical Wave No. 24, a phenomenon that is favoring the development of intense rains and electrical activity in different sectors of the country.

Provinces and Regions at Greatest Risk from Rainfall
Sinaproc detailed that significant rainfall accumulations are expected, especially in areas of western and Caribbean Panama. The areas with the highest probability of impact include:
- Bocas del Toro
- Caribbean sector of the Ngäbe Buglé Region
- Northern Veraguas
- Lower Coast of Colón
- Northwest of Chiriquí

The civil protection agency indicated that the expected weather conditions increase the risk of events associated with heavy rains.
