In 3 Weeks the City of Colón Panama has Buried Six of its Teens
Between May 7 and 27, six teenagers were murdered in Colón. One was on his way to school. Another dreamed of playing basketball. All of them died in a territory where organized crime occupies the space that the State never filled.
He was wearing his school uniform when death surprised him: a white shirt and black pants. Seventeen-year-old Emir Elías Escobar was about to enter the Technological Studies Institute of Colón when his killers ambushed him.

It was swift. One bullet to the head, another to the chest. He was rushed to the Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital in an attempt to save his life, but he died. Carlos González, deputy commissioner of the National Police responsible for the Colón police zone, reported that they did not give up until they found those responsible for the crime.
